The history of the Chemistry Guild begins from the year 1891 and we are the oldest guild of the Helsinki University of Technology. The Chemistry Guild has about 400 members, so while we are not the biggest we are certainly the most beautiful guild. The Guild’s symbol is a white neon atom on blue background. The official color of the Guild is blue although our overalls are red.
The main functions of the Guild include arranging events for its members and representing the interests of the students in the various governing bodies of the department.
The Guild room is a meeting place for its members, where students can be found chatting, playing cards or doing homework.
