Age limits

Because supervisors are needed for people under 21 years old, they must sign up to different cabins than people over 21. Make sure that everybody in your cabin is either under 21 or everybody is over 21.

Usage of the sign-up form

The sign-up form is in Finnish but with help of the picture below, you can hopefully fill it out correctly. If you need help, ask your tutors.

First person to sign up for a cabin, creates it by leaving the cabin number field empty and choosing a password (max. 8 characters, numbers and letters only). Other people can join your cabin with the password you chose and the cabin number that can be seen in the Ilmoittautuneet page. The page is in Finnish, so here are the translations of the columns:

• Hytti = Cabin
• Avoin = Open (ie. no password)
• Alle21 = Under 21
• Nimi = Name
• Kilta = Guild
• Vuosikurssi = Year of study

If you don't have a group with which you want to be in same cabin, you can join some open cabin that's not full yet. You can also create a new cabin and leave the password empty so anybody can join it. Try to create full cabins (4 persons)! If there will be non-full cabins, they will be combined.

Payment

The cost of the Freshmen Cruise is 44 euros and it will be paid via bank transfer. The due date of the payment is 30.9.2011 and the payment details are below.

Ship and harbour

Our cruise ship will be Silja Symphony that leaves from Olympiaterminaali in Helsinki. HSL's Route Planner will help you to find out how to get there.

According to the rules of the ship company, group travellers are allowed to buy alcohol from the ship's tax-free shop only on the way back to Finland.

Miscellaneous

The sign up is binding after it has closed so if you can't for some reason go to the cruise, get someone else to go instead of you. There will be no refunds. Inform the cruise organizers immediately if you can't go and tell the name and birth date of the person coming instead of you.
